The school plan
Free for schools and universities
Teachers and staff with a verified school email check up to 1,000 papers a month free. Nobody has to sign a contract or raise a purchase order.
Who qualifies
Anyone who signs up with a school or university address and verifies it. The check runs on the address, so no administrator has to approve each teacher.
- Addresses ending in .edu
- Addresses ending in .edu, .ac or .sch plus a country code, such as .ac.uk
- United States school districts on k12 state domains
What each teacher gets
1,000 papers a month. One check of up to 25,000 words counts as one paper. Paste one paper at a time in the web app, or send papers from your own tools through the API or the MCP server.

- Passages marked sentence by sentence, at any of three settings
Wrong flags in testing
At the standard setting, our detector flagged none of 1,928 human-written papers and essays it was never trained on. For a school checking 10,000 papers, that means no more than about 16 wrongly flagged papers at 95% confidence. At the sensitive setting the ceiling is about 28. This holds only for English academic and student writing like the test set, all written before 2022.

Student work
Human scores the text in memory and does not save it. Neither this site nor our detector keeps a copy of the papers you check.
What it will not do
A flag from our detector is a reason to look closer. It is not proof that anyone cheated. It reads English academic and student writing only.
